About Us

Marshfield Village Hall was opened in 1978 by councillor A. E. Hames, Mayor of Newport.

‘Marshfield Village Hall’ is a registered charity (no. 509170). The charity trustees comprise elected members and representatives from the user groups and the community council. The trustees are all volunteers and form a Management Committee whose aim is to provide our community with a village hall which supports village events and groups.

As a recognised charity, the village hall is reliant on fundraising through organised events, revenue from regular user groups, private party bookings and yearly applications to Marshfield Community Council.

Marshfield Village Hall Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 8pm.

Marshfield Community Council

As custodian trustee of the village hall, Marshfield Community Council has a representative member on the board of charity trustees and provides support to the Management Committee.

The Community Council holds monthly meetings at 7.30pm on every second Tuesday of the month at the Village Hall. The meetings are open to the public and are an opportunity for residents to find out about local issues. For further information please see http://www.marshfieldcommunitycouncil.org.uk
